Jan 8, 2009 - The Western Australian Farmers Federation (WAFF) says
another mulesing boycott is disappointing and damaging to the wool
industry.

A South Korean company has announced it is now looking to use wool
from countries where mulesing is not practised.

The Kukdong Corporation previously bought about 20,000 kilograms of
Australian wool from a national clip of 370 million kilograms.

The WAFF wool section president Max Watts says Australia has wool
from sheep that have not been mulesed readily available.

Mr Watts says every loss is damaging in the current industry climate.

"If we don't see a 20 to 25 per cent increase in wool almost
immediately people will just continue to leave the wool industry,"
he said.

"The industry will just fold up and we'll find other alternatives."
