World Animal Day at Edgar's Mission Farm Sanctuary

Please join us for a celebration of animals and their contribution to our lives.
Pam, Edgar's Mission founder is the World Animal Day Ambassador for  Australia!

Entry is FREE!! The day kicks off at 10am and closes at 4pm (Edgar's tea time!)

    • First 20 Kids who come dressed as a farm animal will get a cool show bag!
    • Meet "Girlfriend Magazine's Girlfriend of the Year 2008" Elizabeth Anile!!
    • Face-painting and fun activities at the Edgar Activity Centre

  • Walk for the Animals!
    Want to show animals that you care? Why not get your family and friends to sponsor you in a Walk for the Animals Register to participate today. The walk will start at 10:00 am.

  • Meet and interact
    with over 100 rescued animal residents - including pigs, cows, horses, sheep goats, ducks, chickens, bunnies, turkeys AND three Movie Stars from Charlotte's Web!

  • Silent Auction
    A silent auction will be held for valuable products and services including many inspirational animal friendly books courtesy of abolitionist online

  • Dog Agility demonstrations
    by the Mitchell agility dog club

  • Tradestands
    freaturing animal friendly products

  • Vegan lunch
    Enjoy a delicious vegan lunch (gold coin donation)

  • Art exhibition
    "Wildspace exhibition" a unique exhibition of our unique Australian wildlife in art

    from the Jade Leonard School of Music and others

  • Farm Tours
    Entertaining and informative Tours of the Mission throughout the day

  • Face to Face Presentations
    We guarentee that you will learn something you never knew about sheep and pigs in our Face to Face presentation with Timmy Lamb and Priscilla Pig

  • Guest Speakers (times of speeches will be announced)
    Phil Kafcaloudes co-presenter of Radio Australia"s Breakfest Club Weekday will be our MC introducing our great line-up of speakers:

    • Lyn White - Communications Director of Animals Australia

    • Elizabeth Anile, "Girlfriend of the Year 2008" as voted by Girlfriend magazine, who along with her friend Andrew Glover created ATAAC, Australian Teens Against Animal Cruelty.  

    • Noah Hannibal - VP Animal Liberation Victoria (talking about his experiences protecting whales on the Sea Shepherd)

    • Dr. Andrew McLean - Animal Behaviorist

    • Bruce Poon - VVN (talking about the environmental impact of eating meat)

We are located on 60 peaceable acres at 365 McHarg's Road, Willowmavin (via Kilmore) Victoria - just an hour's drive from Melbourne.
