ATAAC | Australian Teens Against Animal Cruelty - Victory for the lions of Darling Downs Zoo!

The Darling Downs Zoo in Queensland intended to send two darling lion cubs, Spike and Spot, to the circus.

If all went to plan, the two cubs would have endured the rest of their life in confined, unsanitary conditions while travelling on the road.

This is a very unnatural way of life for a lion and they would have died without life experiences they deserve.

But thankfully, with all of your help, especially the Animals Australia community, this will not be happening!

Due to the public’s outrage at the situation, the zoo felt the pressure and listened.

I applaud the Darling Downs zoo for making the right choice and changing the future for these beautiful cubs.

If you feel grateful for their change of mind, let them know! It is important to fight for the issue, but it is just as important to congratulate the change!

Send them an email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

And show that you appreciate their decision, and help make their decision final!

- Jordann Crawford-Ash (Ambassador for Circus Animals)
