In 2009 we bought a night ambulance for Friendicoes Animal Shelter in Delhi India and we then became more involved with Friendicoes and their partner organisation Wildlife SOS. In 2010 we were invited to spend time with both organisations, working with them from Delhi to Agra, Pune, Mumbai, and Bangalore assisting all animals from dogs and cats to bears, snakes, horses, donkeys, birds and leopards! This is the trailer of the documentary we made of our time with their amazing rescue teams. We then held two (very successful) fundraisers in Melbourne and Sydney for Wildlife SOS. Thank you to everyone who came along, especially Kartick, Geeta and Tandrali (founders of Wildlife SOS and Friendicoes) who flew over from India to attend and especially 'icandy' Productions. Without them this wouldnt be possible.

    Tony Abbott has confirmed that one of his first priorities as Prime Minister if elected in September will be to apologise to Indonesia for the trade suspension to Indonesia in 2011 (www.bit.ly/19Qha57).     Tony Abbott has confirmed that one of his first priorities as Prime Minister if elected in September will be to apologise to Indonesia for the trade suspension to Indonesia in 2011 (www.bit.ly/19Qha57) And why was the trade suspended? Brian's story is just one reason. Brian was a big, affable steer, who was trying his best to keep out of trouble, which made it particularly hard to witness what he endured. He was confused, scared, but compliant. Regardless of his lack of resistance, he was surrounded by a number of workers and terrorised and brutalised as he bellowed loudly. Brian did nothing to deserve being hit in the face, whipped or kicked. He lay there restrained and completely helpless, with each kick to the face he called out in a way that was heart wrenching. Eventually, his fate was to be the same of so many other victims of live export; Brian's throat was cut whilst fully conscious and he died, 3000km from home.
