ATAAC | Australian Teens Against Animal Cruelty - Homeless Pet of the Week

This gorgeous, yet-to-be-named kitten is now safe in the hands of ATAAC after she was found dumped in a backyard of a friend of a friend of a friend... (phew!)

As this is kitten season, it has come as no surprise to ATAAC co-founder Elizabeth Anile.

"We were preparing ourselves for the influx of homeless kittens this kitten season. It's so sad to think that so many of these beautiful cats are being born but simply not enough homes for them to go to." She said.

There are so many kittens like this gorgeous little girl looking for permanent homes, however unfortunately won't find one and will be euthanised in shelters across Australia this kitten season.

The solution is simple: please, desex your cats!

"It really is up to each and every one of us to practice responsible pet ownership and desex our pets. There are so many animals being killed in shelters all over Australia, why bring more unwanted lives into the world?" Elizabeth says.

In the meantime, this baby kitten (nicknamed 'Tiger') is in safe hands until a forever home is found.

She is roughly 7-8 weeks old, a domestic short hair and extremely playful and cute!

Note: Shelters Australia-wide are desperate for foster carers to help ease the load of the influx of kittens being dumped.
